Das Konzeptkunstwerk – DIE INTEGRATIONSWELTKUGEL – steht für ein weltweit brisantes Thema, INTEGRATION und wurde im August 2006 als Großinstallation in Linz, nach einer Idee von Herbert Kalleitner, realisiert.

Integration ist ein Schlagwort, das heutzutage weltweit in unterschiedlichsten Zusammenhängen behandelt wird.

Der erste Gedanke ist wohl oftmals das Eingliedern von ausländischen Mitbürgern in die Gesellschaft, um eine harmonische und friedvolle Koexistenz zu erreichen. Denken wir aber auch daran, es Menschen mit gesundheitlichen Einschränkungen zu ermöglichen, an den alltäglichen gesellschaftlichen Aktivitäten teilzunehmen. Nicht vergessen werden darf ebenfalls die Notwendigkeit, Randgruppen in die Gesellschaft einzubinden, um damit soziale Ausgrenzung und Isolation zu vermeiden.

Ein ebenso brisanter sozialpolitischer Aspekt hinsichtlich Integration ist die Einbindung von souveränen Staaten in eine größere Staatengemeinschaft – wie beispielsweise die Erweiterung der Europäischen Gemeinschaft.  So wird schnell deutlich, aus wie vielen Blickwinkeln das Thema Integration betrachtet werden kann.

Der ursprüngliche Zugang erfolgte aufgrund der Tatsache, dass Herbert Kalleitner und seine Künstlerkollegen Susi Müller und Eugen Hofbauer gemeinsam ein Atelier in einem Linzer Stadtteil betreiben, wo auch eine große Anzahl von Immigranten lebt und arbeitet. Hier wurden sie oftmals Zeugen einer ablehnenden Haltung gegenüber diesen Familien. Gründe hierfür mögen Berührungsängste, Vorurteile und wohl auch mangelnde oder falsche Informationen über die kulturellen Unterschiede sein. Um dem entgegen zu wirken, Vorurteile und Ängste abzubauen und zu zeigen, wie eine friedvolle und für beide Seiten gewinnbringende Koexistenz möglich ist, widmen sie diesem bedeutenden Thema INTEGRATION ihre ganze Aufmerksamkeit.

Nehmen wir die Herausforderung an! Gehen wir auf unsere ausländischen Mitbürger zu. Bringen wir ihnen unsere Kultur näher. Werden wir offen für deren Lebensart. In vielen anderen Ländern wurden die Künstler von agens freundlichst aufgenommen – lasst es uns ihnen gleichtun. Lasst uns alle – wie die Menschen schon seit Anbeginn der Menschheit – vom Wissens- und Kulturaustausch profitieren.

Mit der erfolgreichen Umsetzung des Projektes INTEGRATIONSWELTKUGEL setzen die Künstler aus Linz ein außerordentliches Zeichen: Sie beziehen neben nationalen und internationalen Künstlern auch Schüler und Jugendliche sowie Menschen mit körperlichen bzw. geistigen Einschränkungen sowie Kinder aus Immigrantenfamilien in die Realisierung des Großprojektes ein und lassen sie an der Integrationsweltkugel mitmalen! Daraus entwickeln sich bei allen Beteiligten, aber auch bei den Besuchern ein besseres gegenseitiges Verständnis, ein befruchtender Erfahrungsaustausch und eine insgesamt positivere Geisteshaltung. Diese Erfahrungen und die daraus resultierende tolerantere Einstellung gegenüber Mitbürgern aus allen Ländern dieser Erde bei den Menschen – nicht nur in Österreich – zu erreichen und auch zu leben, sind der große Traum und das hohe Ziel dieses einzigartigen Projektes.Auf jeder Station der weltumspannenden Tournee werden durch die Mitarbeit von Künstlern aus aller Welt weitere positive Gedanken zum Thema gesammelt.

So wird der aktuelle Leitspruch der Künstlergruppe agens durch Taten deutlich unterstrichen:

The conception artwork – GLOBE OF INTEGRATION – stands for a worldwide explosive theme, namely integration and has been realised in August 2006 as a large installation in Linz, created upon an idea of Herbert Kalleitner.

Integration is a keyword that is discussed worldwide in a lot of different contexts nowadays. The first thought will often be the integration of foreign people into domestic society to ensure a harmonic and peaceful coexistence.

But also think about enabling people with restrictions in health to take part in the daily social life.
Don’t forget the necessity of integrating disadvantaged groups into society to avoid social exclusion and isolation.

An also explosive sociopolitical aspect in the meaning of integration is the integration of sovereign states into a larger states community – like the European Union.

So it becomes rapidly apparent of how many angles of vision you can examine the theme of integration.

The first approach was because of the fact that Herbert Kalleitner and his artist colleagues Susi Müller and Eugen Hofbauer have a studio in a part of Linz, where a large number of immigrants lives and works. There they are often faced the problem of negative attitude of the fellow citizens.

Reasons for that may be fear of contact, prejudice as well as wrong or a lack of information about cultural differences.

To work against it, to reduce prejudices and fears and to show, how a peaceful and for both sides profitable coexistence is possible, they are paying their complete attention to this famous theme INTEGRATION.

Let us accept the challenge!Let us approach our foreign fellow citizens. Let us give them an understanding of our culture. Let us open up for their way of living. In many other countries the artists of agens were put up in the most friendly way – let us do it in the same way.

Let us all – as the humans since the beginning of the mankind – benefit from the exchange of knowledge and culture.

By the successful start of the project GLOBE OF INTEGRATION they set an outstanding mark: they involve national and international artists as well as pupils and teenagers and people with physical or mental disorders into the realisation of the huge project and give them the chance to take part in the process of their paintings!

That allows the establishing of a better mutual understanding, a pollinating exchange of experiences and a more positive mentality against foreigners in the minds of both the actors and the visitors. To reach for these experiences and the resultant more tolerant attitude against people from all over the world – not only in Austria – is the huge dream and the honest intention of this unique project.

At each stage of the worldwide tour there will be collected further positive thoughts to the theme by the cooperation of artists from all over the world.

So the actual mission statement of the artists group agens is clearly underlined by doings:

“ WE LIVE INTEGRATION! - by networking and worldwide interchange of not only artistic thoughts.”

La obra de arte conceptual DIE INTEGRATIONSWELTKUGEL (el globo mundial de la integración) aborda un tema de candente actualidad en el mundo, la INTEGRACIÓN, y se llevó a cabo como instalación de grandes dimensiones en agosto de 2006 en Linz siguiendo una idea original de Herbert Kalleitner.

Integración es una palabra que se emplea hoy en día en todo el mundo en los más variados contextos. La mayor parte de las veces, el primer pensamiento que suscita el vocablo es la incorporación a la sociedad de aquellos conciudadanos de origen extranjero con el fin de lograr una coexistencia pacífica y armoniosa. Pero también hace pensar en todo lo relacionado con hacer posible que las personas con limitaciones físicas tomen parte en las actividades sociales cotidianas. Tampoco puede olvidarse el significado vinculado a la necesidad de implicar a los grupos marginales a fin de evitar el aislamiento y la exclusión social.

Un aspecto sociopolítico igualmente explosivo asociado al término integración es la inclusión de Estados soberanos en una comunidad de Estados de mayor tamaño, como por ejemplo la ampliación de la Unión Europea. Queda patente por tanto la multitud de ángulos desde los que se puede considerar el tema de la integración.

El punto de partida original se derivó del hecho de que Herbert Kalleitner y sus colegas artistas Susi Müller y Eugen Hofbauer comparten un estudio en un barrio de Linz en el que viven y trabajan gran número de inmigrantes. Allí han sido testigos a menudo de la actitud negativa de muchas personas hacia esas familias. Las razones de dicha actitud pueden ser el miedo al contacto, los prejuicios y también la información sesgada o errónea acerca de las diferencias culturales. Con el fin de conseguir el efecto contrario, destruir los miedos y los prejuicios y demostrar que una coexistencia pacífica y enriquecedora para ambas partes es posible, volcaron en este importante tema de la INTEGRACIÓN todos sus esfuerzos.

¡ Aceptemos el desafío! Acerquémonos a nuestros conciudadanos extranjeros. Démosles a conocer nuestra cultura. Abrámonos a su modo de vivir. En muchos países extranjeros los artistas de Agens han sido calurosamente acogidos; hagamos lo mismo con ellos. Beneficiémonos todos, al igual que han hecho todos los hombres desde los comienzos de la humanidad, del intercambio de culturas y conocimientos.

Con la exitosa puesta en marcha del proyecto INTEGRATIONSWELTKUGEL, los artistas de Linz han creado un símbolo extraordinario: han implicado en su realización, además de a artistas nacionales e internacionales, también a escolares y jóvenes, a personas con discapacidades físicas y psíquicas, y a niños de familias de inmigrantes, y les han dejado pintar con ellos el globo mundial de la integración. Se ha desarrollado así entre todos los participantes, y también entre los visitantes, una mejor comprensión mutua, un fructífero intercambio de experiencias y una mentalidad, en conjunto, más positiva. Lograr que todas las personas (no sólo las de Austria) vivan y disfruten de estas experiencias y de la actitud más tolerante que de ellas se deriva hacia sus conciudadanos de todos los países del mundo es el gran sueño y el objetivo último de este singular proyecto.

En cada una de las etapas de esta gira universal se recogerán, gracias a la colaboración de artistas de todo el orbe, más pensamientos positivos sobre el tema.

De esta manera, el lema actual del grupo de artistas Agens se hará más patente si cabe gracias a sus obras: "¡Vivimos la INTEGRACIÓN! gracias a la creación de redes mundiales de intercambio de ideas que van más allá del ámbito artístico."
